not as accompaniment

a rhythm with weight

the piano enters

carefully

the harp follows

the rhythm continues

the piano finds a figure

the strings interrupt it

then continue

another string joins

the rhythm becomes layered

the piano becomes more intricate

the harp becomes more distant

nothing dominates

but the ground has changed

the strings are no longer beneath the music

they are part of what makes it move
